Croc park immortalizes Lolong

The Crocodile Park Manila in Pasay City unveiled its latest attraction, Longlong, an animal robot that is the replica of Lolong, the world's largest crocodile.

Longlong was made by local artists from Davao that bears the likeness of renowned crocodile, Lolong.

The 21-foot-long replica is made of rubber and fiber glass covering its steel frame and a pedaled internal mechanism to crawl, bite, and move its head.

Lolong, a saltwater crocodile that made it to Guinness Book of World Records, died early last year due to cardiac arrest and pneumonia at the Bunawan Eco Park and Research Center in Agusan del Sur. – Solar News Online, from a report by Rex Remitio
